1. MAKE A LISTING OF YOUR COMPLETIONS
It’s in your nature to constantly look forward to the next thing, but if you don’t value what you’ve accomplished, you’ll never value what you do! Make a list of all of your achievements, both large and small, from the previous year. Take your time, really, with this. Consider every month and make a list of everything. Examine your planner or social media accounts, if necessary, to see what you were doing each month.
2. WRITE DOWN THE TOP TEN THINGS YOU’VE LEARNED.
Making a list of the most important things you’ve learned this year is a terrific approach to be ready for the new year. Make a list of all the lessons you wish to carry over into the upcoming year after reflecting on the last year. Again, if you need to jog your mind, check your planner or social media profiles! Additionally, be careful not to teach yourself any lessons that may encourage you to limit or hold yourself back. You may create whatever you wish out of this year, just make sure it works for you!
3. Make Exceptional Appointments
Now is the perfect time to schedule any appointments you’ve been putting off, such as a car service, doctor’s visit, or dentist appointment, so they’ll happen in the new year. Don’t allow unfulfilled appointments to haunt you! Determine the time that works best for you and schedule them. Recognize that there might never be a “good time” to leave; instead, you might have to swallow your pride and put up with the inconvenience for a day. Still, it will be worthwhile! If you find it difficult to carry out your plans, be sure to read my piece regarding the actual causes of your inability to stick to a planner.
4. Tidy your wardrobe.
Allocate a day for organizing your clothes. Take everything out of your closet, clean it thoroughly, or donate it, then only return items that you truly love or that serve a useful purpose. Stow away clothing for the season. Sell the remainder and donate! Additionally, you can watch me declutter my clothes here if you need some inspiration.
Caution: Avoid having so few clothes that you feel compelled to buy new ones right away because you’ll probably regret your impulsive choices later. If you’ve become tired of the components you currently have, list the ones you wish to replace, do some research, and buy new ones when you can. I’ve been using this blog a lot lately to help me figure out what kind of clothes I like and what my particular style is.
5. RENOVATE YOUR SETTLEMENT
Sometimes we’re not so sensible and instead of spending money on the items we need on a daily basis, we buy something nice that we’ll use occasionally. Examine the items you see and use every day, and replace those that are broken. A new pillow, a plant for your desk, a cozy desk chair, attractive undergarments, or a good hair dryer can all make a big difference in your life’s satisfaction!
